Otters Beat Uruguayans, 3-1
|
In a tight game between the Tulsa Otters and the Germantown Uruguayans, pitcher Sumitomo Sai was terrific on the mound. The Tulsa right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. Luis Román got the save, the 9th for him this season. Tulsa, at 26-40, occupies 9th place in the Silver Low A.
Tulsa took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, James Lang stroked a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Otters.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Lang told the Tulsa Today. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
