Adams Delivers Walk-Off Win for Trash Pandas
|
Ellesmere Island right fielder José Colón had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Colón belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice, even as Watford City beat the Snowpeople, 8-7. Watford City reliever Bruce Lewis picked up the win to move to 1-0. Tom Anderson suffered the loss. The win moves Watford City to a record of 5-5.
Connor Adams was the walk-off hero for Watford City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Trash Pandas second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"The house was rockin'," said Adams.
