Shockers Flatten Uruguayans, 12-1
|
Surprise starter Chip Moore clamped down on the Germantown offense, while his team sailed to victory, 12-1. Surprise raised its record to 38-23 with the win.
Jim Williams hit a 2-run double off Joey van der Beeck in the bottom of the third, which put the Shockers in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Williams had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.
Shockers manager John Walls had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
