Lakers Snatch Late Win
The Echo Park Lakers defeated the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 7-4, in United States Silver League action at Atlantica. Charlie Cummings pulled his weight. The 9-year veteran was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Yes, it was a win for Echo Park; but their 13-26 mark is nothing to crow about.

Echo Park took a 7-4 lead on Cummings's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Sean Murphy in the top of the eighth, propelled Echo Park to the win.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Cummings.
