Extra-Inning Win by Beavers Over Canucks
|
The Northwest Territory Beavers weathered a fine game by Moose Jaw center fielder Tommy Olsen to upend the Canucks, 9-5, at Foresters Stadium. Olsen was 4-6 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2. Northwest Territory reliever Micah Boulton picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Juan Castro was tagged with the loss. The loss drops Moose Jaw to 2-3.
Don Hickman made it 5-4 in favor of Northwest Territory when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with one out in the top of the 16th. The Beavers went on to win.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Hickman.
