The Amarillo Warheads picked up a win at The Beaver Dam, knocking off the Ballard Beavers, 2-1. On the mound for Amarillo was right-hander Nolan Macarandang, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Warheads sit in 9th place in the Silver Low A with a record of 15-30.
Lower Merion, Pennsylvania-born Shawn Jackson came through in the clutch. In the top of the seventh, with the bases loaded and the Warheads trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run single to left-center to put Amarillo on top.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Macarandang.
