Extra-Inning Win by Baby Lakers Over Otters
|
The Bompton Baby Lakers topped the Tulsa Otters, 6-3, with youngster Jimmy Dreux playing a key role. Dreux went 2-4 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Baby Lakers in the win. Jonathan Alexander snagged the win in relief. In 2 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit. He's now 2-3 on the season. Bompton is now 22-22.
Bompton used the timely hitting of Carl Carey to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 3-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Baby Lakers ahead, 6-3. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Dreux told the Bompton Bulletin.
