Behind an impressive start by Eddie Walden, Bompton beat Memphis, 8-1. The 7th-place Baby Lakers raised their record to 12-13.
Making an impact for the home team was Bogdashka Eremkin. In the bottom of the first, the 21-year old catcher had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 1-0, Baby Lakers.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Eremkin.
