The Germantown Uruguayans picked up a win at Ballpark of Albuquerque, knocking off the Surprise Shockers, 4-2. Starting pitcher Joey van der Beeck played a key role in the triumph. Kian Spargo recorded the save for Germantown, his 2nd of the season. Surprise is 6-9 after the defeat.
Dan Kelly had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the seventh for Germantown. He came through with a 2-run single to put Germantown in front, 4-0.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Germantown skipper Tabor de Maria. "I can't complain."
