Uruguayans Earn 4-1 Win Against Beavers
|
Behind an impressive start by Stephen Harris, Germantown beat Ballard, 4-1. The winner in relief was Kian Spargo. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. The Uruguayans raised their record to 7-5.
Germantown used the clutch hitting of Quintiliano Alkain to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Uruguayans the lead, 2-1. For the game, Alkain had 1 single and 1 double in 2 at-bats.
"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Ballard manager Gerald Clark.
