Otters Deal Warheads 4-3 Setback
|
The umbrellas came out during the Tulsa-Amarillo contest at Ballpark of Hughesville.
Tulsa beat Amarillo at Ballpark of Hughesville, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to center fielder Mario Peña. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. Picking up the win was Dave Sharpe. He went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits. The right--hander struck out 6 and walked 1.
The Otters got a big at-bat from first baseman Earnest Ellison, who in the bottom of the first hit a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Otters on top, 3-0.
"I like what I saw today," said Tulsa manager Ben Cooper, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
The loss puts Amarillo at 3-5.
