Puffer Fish Walk It Off for 41st Win of Season
|
In a well-pitched game between the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish and the Redwood Rhinos, pitcher Mario Hernández was superb. The Plattsburgh left-hander helped his team win, 1-0. Plattsburgh reliever Shing Deng picked up the win, upping his record to 4-4. Juan Galván was saddled with the loss. Redwood now has a 9-game losing streak.
Duncan Williams was the walk-off hero for Plattsburgh. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Puffer Fish pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Williams said in his postgame press conference.
