Loss to Zoomies Extends Quebec City Losing Streak
|
Zoomies third baseman Javier Ortega put his stamp on his team's 7-5 win over the Quebec City Baby Blues. Ortega was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Shady Side in the contest. Juan Rodríguez was the winner. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 1 run on 4 hits, with 4 walks and 6 strikeouts. Jonathan Lynch closed the door for Shady Side, picking up his 14th save of the year.
Ortega had a key at-bat for Shady Side early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and gave Shady Side an early 2-0 lead.
