The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish got a superb performance from pitcher Elijah Cox, but the Crowley Cajuns still won the game, 4-1. Cox threw 8.1 innings of 6-hit ball. The winner was Manuel Juárez, who threw 90 pitches over 7 innings. The left-hander was charged with 1 run on 8 hits. Picking up the save was Al Hussey, his 11th.

In the top of the first, Fernando Mezzatesta ambushed a first pitch fastball from Elijah Cox and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Crowley a quick 2-0 lead.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Mezzatesta.

Crowley is now 44-40, while Plattsburgh is 37-47.
