Quebec City first baseman Esteban Reyes had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Reyes belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice, even as Redwood beat the Baby Blues, 7-5. Redwood reliever Juan Galván was the winner. His record is now 2-4. Yo Suzuki took the loss. The Rhinos go to 17-64 with the win.

Redwood needed the clutch hitting of Brett Taylor to notch the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rhinos on top, 7-4. For the game, Taylor had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Taylor told the Redwood Gazette: "I think I thrive on conflict. It brings out my best."
