Crowley got a terrific performance from pitcher António Román, but it wasn't enough to beat the Redwood Rhinos. Redwood won the The Zoo contest, 1-0. Román threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Juan Galván picked up the save, his 10th. The Rhinos now have a record of 15-63.

Redwood took a 1-0 lead on Juan Sáenz's 6th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Crowley pitcher Junior Clark in the bottom of the eighth.

"We did just enough to win," Sáenz said.
