Ángel González was a vital contributor to the 4-3 Plattsburgh victory over Hudsonville. The Puffer Fish shortstop went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Shing Deng, 3-4, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The Puffer Fish sit in 7th place in the Premier Low A with a record of 34-42.
Plattsburgh used the timely hitting of Jesús Vega to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Puffer Fish ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
Vega told a Plattsburgh Chronicle reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
