The Quebec City Baby Blues got a superb performance from pitcher Juan Núñez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Plattsburgh. The Puffer Fish won the game, 3-2. Núñez threw 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball. After today's action, Plattsburgh sits at 33-42, while Quebec City falls to 35-40.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Plattsburgh trailing 2-1, Mutsuhito Kiyomizu jumped on a 2-2 fastball from Yo Suzuki for a 2-run home run, sending the Puffer Fish to a walk-off win.
"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Kiyomizu said.
