Cajuns Trip Hounds, 2-1
|
Hicksville got a valiant performance from pitcher John Terry, but it wasn't enough to beat the Crowley Cajuns. Crowley won the game, 2-1. Terry threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. The 8th-place Hounds have dropped 5 straight games.
In the bottom of the fourth, José Mercado delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Crowley center fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Cajuns in front, 2-1.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Mercado.
