Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Quebec City Baby Blues and Plattsburgh Puffer Fish.

The Quebec City Baby Blues beat the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish, 6-4, at Plattsburgh Park. Quebec City left fielder Pete Black had an outstanding performance. He was 2-2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Picking up the win was Manuel Delgado. He went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits. The right--hander struck out 7 and walked 3. Ed Ray earned the save for Quebec City, his 13th of the year.

Black had a timely hit for Quebec City in the top of the seventh. With Plattsburgh trailing 4-3, he turned a 2-1 forkball into a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season, making it 6-4, Quebec City.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Black.

The 6th-place Baby Blues improved to 34-39.
