The Dungeon in Halifax was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

The Oakland Oaks picked up a win at The Dungeon in Halifax, knocking off the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 2-0. Starting pitcher Jason Kofod was a big reason why. Kofod, the winner, moves to 3-0. He threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 3 walks. Armando Trujillo picked up the save, his 7th.

Oakland used the clutch hitting of Tom Bleasdale to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Oaks the lead, 1-0. For the game, Bleasdale had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

Afterward, Oaks manager DAshley GoAs was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."

The loss makes Nova Scotia 11-19.
