Skidding Crossbeaus Lose 7th Straight
|
Beaumont got a terrific performance from pitcher Reynaldo López, but it wasn't enough to beat the Redwood Rhinos. Redwood won the The Zoo contest, 3-2. López threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Reliever Bernardo Pérez picked up the win. His record improves to 2-3. Reynaldo López took the loss. The slumping Crossbeaus have dropped 7 in a row.
Redwood took a 3-2 lead on Pedro Camacho's 1st double of the season. The 2-run double, which Camacho hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Beaumont pitcher Rusty Collins shaking his head.
"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Camacho.
