Centennial Squelch Hounds Offense in Shutout Win
|
Fort Knox got a strong outing from Juan Corona as the Centennial defeated the Hicksville Hounds, 3-0, at Ballpark of Baxter. Aaron Ellicott collected his 3rd save. The Centennial lead the Premier Low A by 7½ games.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the fifth inning, but Corona was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Hicksville trailing 2-0, Corona retired Steven Sas, who grounded out.
