Fort Knox turned a good effort from starter Lloyd Best into a win over the Redwood Rhinos at The Zoo. The final score was 3-0. Orlando Calderón was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 6 save opportunities. The win puts the Centennial at 54-15, while the Rhinos drop to 12-57.
The Centennial got a big hit from center fielder Ismael Carrillo. In the top of the fifth, Carrillo pounded a solo home run to right. His 16th home run of the season put the Centennial ahead, 2-0.
"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Carrillo told the Fort Knox Observer.
