Centennial Beat Cajuns, 6-1
|
The Fort Knox Centennial got a strong performance from pitcher Lloyd Best, who stymied the Crowley offense en route to a win, 6-1, at Ballpark of Baxter. Crowley has now lost 5 in a row.
Sotaro Hayagawa took António Román deep in the bottom of the third. His 3-run home run put the Centennial on top, 4-1. In all, Hayagawa had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Crowley manager Neal Davis.
