Justin Armstrong impressed in the 7-2 Redwood win over Shady Side. Armstrong was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Octávio Olivaies, the winning pitcher, is now 2-11. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 1. Juan Galván converted his 6th save in 6 tries.
The two teams provided some entertaining baseball for the The Zoo crowd. Regardless of the outcome, a good time was had by all.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Armstrong. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
