Crossbeaus Pin 5-3 Loss on Rhinos
|
The Redwood Rhinos got a superb performance from pitcher Rodrigo Romano, but the Beaumont Crossbeaus still won the game, 5-3. Romano threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball. The winning pitcher was Conor Mabty. He's now 5-3. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 2 hits for the Crossbeaus. Yok-sing Zhou earned the save, his 8th, for the Crossbeaus.
Beaumont took a 4-3 lead on Juan Suarze's 4th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Suarze hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Redwood pitcher Jorge Castillo visibly frustrated.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Suarze told the Beaumont Chronicle.
The Rhinos, at 8-48, have lost 4 straight games.
