Loss Spoils Fine Performance by González

The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.
The Crowley Cajuns withstood an impressive performance by Plattsburgh shortstop Ángel González to defeat the Puffer Fish, 7-3, at Titans Ballpark. González went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The win elevated the Cajuns to 31-23.
In the bottom of the fourth, with Crowley leading 2-1, Xu Guao hit a fastball from Frank Wilson for a run-scoring single, giving the Cajuns the lead, 3-1.
Guao told a Crowley Daily News reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
