Bob Porter of the Hicksville Hounds spun his magic on the Crowley Cajuns today. He blanked them 7-0 on 4 hits, registering 7 strikeouts and no walks.

"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Porter said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."

Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Hicksville skipper Phil Carroll said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."

"Bob pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.

So far this season, Porter has logged a 2-4 record with a 2.35 ERA. He has started 9 games, hurled 57.1 innings and registered 54 strikeouts and 18 walks.
