3-1 Loss to Puffer Fish Extends Redwood Losing Streak
|
Plattsburgh and Redwood played a hard-fought contest.
The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish got a strong performance from pitcher Elijah Cox, who stymied the Redwood offense en route to a win, 3-1, at The Zoo. Curt Kerr collected his 12th save.
Plattsburgh relied on the hitting of Mutsuhito Kiyomizu to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Puffer Fish on top, 3-1. For the game, Kiyomizu had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Redwood manager Dave Parrish. "Obviously."
The misery continues for the Rhinos, which has now dropped 13 in a row.
