Hounds Collect 8-6 Win Over Centennial
|
Led by Kauno Sihvonen, the Hicksville Hounds downed the Fort Knox Centennial, 8-6. Sihvonen was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Hounds. Hicksville reliever John Terry got the win, raising his record to 1-2. Ketema El Hindi was tagged with the loss. Hicksville now sits in 7th place in the Premier Low A at 16-22.
Hicksville needed the clutch hitting of Randolph Harper to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Hounds on top, 8-6. For the game, Harper had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Sihvonen, "but we got it done."
