2-1 Loss Deepens Redwood Funk
|
The Hudsonville Flanderses picked up a win at Hudsonville Park, courtesy of Thaddeus Alambra. The right-hander helped his team stop the Redwood Rhinos, 2-1. The save went to Nick Johnston, number 6 for him. The losses continue to mount for Redwood, which has now dropped 8 in a row.
A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the eighth inning when the Flanderses sent 21-year-old third baseman Tung-chi Zhào to the plate with runners on 1st and 3rd. The youngster shook off the pressure and grounded out, driving in 1 run, to put Hudsonville on top, 2-0.
"We did just enough to win," Zhào said.
