Baby Blues Lose at Home, 5-3, to Plattsburgh
|
Plattsburgh Puffer Fish starter Elijah Cox was in fine form against the Quebec City Baby Blues at Dylan Park, leading his team to a win, 5-3. Curt Kerr earned save number 9 this season. Plattsburgh bumps their record to 15-16 with the win.
Plattsburgh used the bat of Ángel González to get the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Puffer Fish ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
In postgame comments to the Plattsburgh Chronicle, González said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
