In a tight game between the Panama City Piranhas and the Cape Coral Hurricanes, pitcher Pat Butler was terrific on the mound. The Panama City right-hander helped his team to the 2-1 win. Panama City reliever Rob Green was the winner. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Kenny McFadden. With the win, Panama City has a record of 17-9. Cape Coral falls to 11-15.

In the bottom of the ninth, Jonathan Boden had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring sacrifice fly to right off Cape Coral pitcher Kenny McFadden.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Greg Diersing.
