Díaz Lifts Zoomies to 7-0 Win
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Shady Side Zoomies and Redwood Rhinos.

The 7-0 Shady Side win over Redwood was due largely to Reynaldo Díaz. The Zoomies third baseman was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. Mark Ramsdell got the win, improving to 3-3. He held the Rhinos to no runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 1.

Díaz had a big hit for Shady Side with one out in the top of the second. With Shady Side leading 1-0, Díaz hit a solo home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Zoomies up, 2-0.

Díaz told a Shady Side News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.

Shady Side now sits in 4th place in the Premier Low A at 18-12.
