Crossbeaus Upend Hounds, 2-1
|
In a well-pitched game between the Beaumont Crossbeaus and the Hicksville Hounds, pitcher Jim Mack was superb. The Beaumont right-hander helped his team win, 2-1. The save went to Tan-ming Lou, his 2nd this season. Beaumont, with the win, climbs to 7-20.
Beaumont used the timely hitting of Víctor Rivas to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Crossbeaus ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Hicksville manager Phil Carroll, "let me know."
