The Nova Scotia Leviathan bested the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids by a score of 6-5, with catcher Vance Lee getting the main credit. On the day, Lee went 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Leviathan. The win belongs to Nicolaas Eland in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Craig Brooks took the loss for Northern Virginia. Bing-zhong Qiu recorded the save for Nova Scotia, his 1st of the season.

Nova Scotia used the timely hitting of Héctor Heredice to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Leviathan ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"This game tested our mettle," said Lee.

The loss makes Northern Virginia 9-16.
