Hawks Beat Huntington, 2-1
|
Hawks fans were sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.
Huntington pitcher Sebastian Brown gave the Hawks all they could handle, but in the end, Laredo left Hawks Field with a win, 2-1. Brown allowed 1 run on 5 hits over 8 innings. The Hawks have a winning streak of 6 games.
Nathan Wilson was the walk-off hero for Laredo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Hawks designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We were in it," said Huntington manager Mike Evans. "We just didn't score enough runs."
