Both teams had their chances, but the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish eventually prevailed.

Starting pitcher Ronald Hensball pitched well enough to help the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish beat the Redwood Rhinos, 4-3. Curt Kerr was credited with the save for Plattsburgh, his 6th of the season.

Had Pablo Ogaz not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Ogaz hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Puffer Fish.

Ogaz called the win "a lesson in teamwork."

For Redwood, now 3-14, the season is off to a dismal start.
