Getting an impressive start from Sergio Tacuri, Las Vegas beat Ft. Worth by the score of 6-2. Tacuri, now 3-0, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. The first-place Flamingos lifted their record to 15-8.

Las Vegas used the bat of Joy-shan Tung to capture the win. The catcher jacked a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Flamingos ahead, 6-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Las Vegas manager Tom Williams.
