Crowley picked up a win at The Target, bumping off the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 5-1. Pitcher Iasepa Keli was a major reason the Cajuns emerged victorious. Keli got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. Keli allowed 1 run. Tai sun Huo closed the door for Crowley, picking up his 3rd save of the year.
In the top of the 6th, catcher Xu Guao gave Crowley the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Cajuns had been trailing 1-0, but the two-out single off Beaumont pitcher Tan-ming Lou changed that -- and Crowley went on to win.
"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Stephen Richards, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
Crowley has a record of 11-4.
