Vandals Lose Again, 4-0, to Hawks
|
Another game, another loss for the struggling Eugene Vandals.
Keanu Kolora was superb against Eugene. The right-hander, who is tied for 9th in the PA with a 8 quality starts, had a cutter that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Hawks victory. The score was 4-0. The losses continue to add up for Eugene, which has now fallen 30 times in a row.
Laredo needed the clutch hitting of Yosai Hayagawa to notch the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hawks on top, 3-0. For the game, Hayagawa had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We're our own worst enemy right now," said Eugene skipper José Cervantes.
