The Cut Off Crawdads got a superb performance from pitcher Ryan Fox. Still, it wasn't enough to beat South Beach. The Blaze won the game, 5-3. Fox threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. South Beach reliever Pedro Salazar picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Sang Song took the loss. The Blaze have an impressive 48-28 record.

South Beach needed the clutch hitting of Gilberto Silva to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Blaze on top, 5-3. For the game, Silva had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Silva told the South Beach News.
