South Beach took on Athletic Club KC in front of a lively crowd.

The timely hitting of Allen Dowiyogo helped the South Beach Blaze down the Athletic Club KC U-24, 10-6. Dowiyogo went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Blaze. South Beach starter Jerry Gordon was credited with the win after throwing 84 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 7-2.

The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the second inning, when the Blaze were trailing 1-0. Larry Gross delivered a two-out 2-run single for South Beach, catapulting his team into the lead.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Dowiyogo told the South Beach News.

South Beach bumps their record to 47-28 with the win.
