Rocketeers Flatten Lakers, 11-0
|
The Seattle Rocketeers put together a convincing win at LA Forum, defeating the Echo Park Lakers, 11-0. Alexander Karshev was one of the hitting stars. He was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs for Seattle. Seattle pitcher Coyote Peterson got the win. He's now 2-0. George Crane was tagged with the loss. Joe Boyle locked down his 1st save.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Claudio Cabañas? The Seattle third baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Rocketeers on top, 3-0. For the game, Cabañas had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Echo Park manager Jordan Calhoun. "We got flat-out beat."
Echo Park is 7-14 after the defeat.
