Harmon Powers Flamingos Offense
The Las Vegas Flamingos thumped the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 9-1, at The Strip. Santiago Harmon was a big reason his team got the win. Harmon went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Miguel Pérez got the win, improving to 2-2. He held the Leviathan to 1 run on 4 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 11 and walking 0. After losing, Nova Scotia is 7-13.

The Leviathan had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Flamingos going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Mike Gilmore came to the plate. Gilmore hit a solo home run on a 2-2 cutter from Nova Scotia hurler Ben Frazier. It was Gilmore's 1st home run of the year.

"This team is on a mission," said Gilmore, who is one of the clubhouse leaders. "I like our focus."
