Seahawks C Mongelos has 4 hits today in Win
|
The 2051 season is going from bad to worse for Eugene.
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks downed the Eugene Vandals, 20-5, at The Riot Zone. Ismael Mongelos led the way, going 4-for-5 for Myrtle Beach. The slumping Vandals have dropped 10 in a row.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Josh Miller? The Myrtle Beach second baseman had a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put the Seahawks on top, 4-3. For the game, Miller had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Myrtle Beach manager Tom Oglander.
