Crowds lined up early in front of Ballpark of Baxter, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2051 USPL Low A season. On the mound was Paul Montgomery for the visiting Hudsonville Flanderses and Tai sun Rang for the hometown Fort Knox Centennial. In a spirited contest, the Flanderses pulled out the win, defeating the Centennial by the score of 1-0. Especially impressive was Paul Montgomery. Montgomery, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 1 walk. Nick Johnston picked up the save for Hudsonville, his 1st of the year.

Raleigh Rowse, the 21-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Rowse contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put Hudsonville up, 1-0.

"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Rowse.
