Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Redwood Rhinos were eager to watch Josh Barnette square off against Brian Moore of the visiting Plattsburgh Puffer Fish. In the end, the Puffer Fish won the game, 4-3, with Brian Moore leading the way.

Plattsburgh used a timely hit from Basem Church to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Puffer Fish ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"We did enough to win," said Moore.
