The Cut Off Crawdads trumped the Laredo Hawks, 10-2, at Hawks Field. Cut Off designated hitter Tian-yun Zeng was terrific. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Cut Off is now 27-17.

Cut Off used the bat of Derek Davidson to capture the win. The second baseman jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Crawdads ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Cut Off skipper Manuel Barrios.
